James Holt, Jr

James E. “Jimmy” Holt Jr, age 69. Was born on November 12, 1951 in Columbus, OH to the late James E. Holt, Sr and Luvenia Holt. He departed this earthly life on December 14, 2020.

Jimmy attended Columbus Public Schools. He held many jobs including Riverside and OSU Hospital. His last job was being a Greater Detailer at the Columbus Fair Auction. Jimmy was a die-hard Cleveland Brown’s fan. Jimmy enjoyed fishing with his family and friends; fishing was his passion; Jimmy loved his beer.

Jimmy made sure to check on his loved ones. If he was mad at you, he would tell everyone but you (lol), but would always show love to everyone who was in his presence.

Jimmy was a husband, brother, father, uncle, friend, and an all-around great man!

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, James E. Holt, Sr and Luvenia Holt; sisters, Wanda Miller and Donna Lewis; son, James W. Holt; brothers-in-law, Gene Hardiman, Jason Lewis, Stanley, Roy, and Jerry; cousins, Rufus Jenkins and Sharon Jeannien; and aunt, Esther.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory, beloved wife of 50 years, Barbara Holt; son, Christopher (Victoria) Holt; daughters, Regina (Darnell) and Linda (Tarik); sisters, Ruth (John) Weaver and Marva Hardiman; sisters-in-law, Cynthia (Terry) Nelson, Pine, Pat, and Pamela; brother-in-law, Russell (Lana) Snow; grandchildren, Antonio, Maleaka, Lashawnda, Lil Chris, Makaia, Lil Mike, Crystal, Lil James, Jawuan, Dartanion, Xsell, Kimjuan, John, and Isaiah; 21 great grandchildren; special cousins, Eleanorene Johnson, Nadine Benett, Pumpkin Sonny, Jeff, Carolyn, and Greg; special friends, Rosalyn Carter, Curtis, and Rod Dumas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
