James Liner Cousar II was born in Springfield, Ohio to the late Juanita Harmon and James Cousar I. He spent most of his early years with his grandparents Alvin and Mae Francis Harmon in Springfield, Ohio and his grandmother Beulah Mitchell in Columbus, Ohio along with his sister Janet Mitchell.

James enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1967 where her served in Germany during the Vietnam War. He had a passion for cooking and was a chef at several restaurants. He retired from Department of Youth Services-Tico as the Food Service Manager.

James became a member at Good Shepard Baptist Church in 2001. He served on the Deacon Board and the Evangelist Board. He believed in Praising the Lord and evangelizing.

Along with Good Shepard, he and his wife were involved in the BREAD organization where they help form regulations on predatory lending.

He was a trusted servant in many roles at the Stop and Stay Stopped Group and the Mustard Seed Group for Alcoholics Anonymous for many years.

James was affectionally known as Mr. Mom because he was a single parent to his three children.

James leaves to cherish his memory; his devoted and loving wife Beverly. His children James Jr. (Tequila), Rodney, Yolanda (Walter), Alvin (Ebony), Nekoel, Starla (Daniel), Bine, and Michael.Siblings Larry, Billy, Gary, Curtis, Chineta, Austin, Stephen, Ida Mae, and sister in law Alyscia.13 Grand Children and 3 Great Grand Children. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

PRIVATE Visitation 11:00 AM and Funeral Service 12:00 PM Friday, January 8, 2021 at Mt. Carmel Worship Center, 2182 Court Right Rd 43232.
