James L. Williams, 69, Sunrise February 12, 1951 in Lyon, Mississippi and Sunset August 31, 2020 in Columbus, Ohio.

James attended Higgins High School in Clarksdale, Mississippi, where he met and married his first and only love, Wanda Shaw; and they later relocated to Columbus, Ohio. He received Christ at an early age in life. James worked tirelessly at both Buckeye Steel Casting Company and the City of Columbus as a Crane Operator. He also worked as a self-taught Mechanic and Handyman assisting any in need of his help, which he gave willingly and without complaint with each and every phone call.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Van and Canary (Erving) Williams and brother, Joseph Williams.

Left to cherish his memory, his devoted and loving wife, Wanda Williams of 51 years; son, James Williams, Jr. (Maria); God Son, James Myers (Marcy); grandchildren, Terrell Williams, Jada Williams, Cameron Williams, Jeynna Williams, Sunnisha Hilton, Damon Hilton, Timothy May, Dana Stephens, DaSean Stephens, and Victor Braxton III; 11 Great Grandchildren; brothers, Christerville Erving (Carrie) of Peoria, IL, Jacob Williams (Jennifer) of Peoria, IL, William Robins of Tacoma, WA, Van Williams (Carnita) of Clarksdale, MS; sisters, Sallie Lampkin of Clarksdale, MS, Johnnie Mae Miller of Columbus, OH, Mattie Branscumb of Peoria, IL, Martha Williams of Peoria, IL, and Florida Chase (Gregg) of Windsor Ontario, CA; In Laws, Barbara Rowland (Roy), Janice Jones (Gary), Valerie White (Dolphus) all of Columbus, OH, and Alfreda Simmons (Fready) of Nashville, TN; a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Family, and Friends; and Best Friend and Brother-in-Law, Gary W. Jones, and devoted and loving Ex Daughter-in-Law, Marie Hilton Williams.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Living Waters Christian Fellowship, 1824 Cleveland Ave, 43211.

Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
