Mr. James Alexander “Zan” Myers age 66 of 1497 E. 24th Ave Columbus, Ohio entered eternal rest on Monday July 27, 2020 at Laurels of Worthington, Worthington Ohio.

Mr. Myers was born December 22, 1953 in Youngstown, Ohio to Wesley Myers and Virginia Stephens Myers. He was reared in Ruffin, SC by his paternal grandmother, Sadie Myers Snipes.

Mr. Myers served his country in the US Marine Corps. As a young man, he migrated to Columbus, Ohio. He drove long distance trucks for more than 18 years, traveling across the United States. Zan as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was kind, funny, had a knack for gardening and a love for family.

Mr. Myers was preceded in death by his father Wesley Myers; sister, Pricilla Murphy; and brothers, Ronald Myers and Prince Myers.

Mr. Myers leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Virginia Myers, Columbus, OH; two daughters, Delecia Givens-Capers (Anthony Capers), Aiken, SC and Monique Clifton (James), step-son, Rodrick Duckworth; brother, Wes Myers, all of Columbus, OH; five aunts and one uncle, Lena Williams (Elie) Columbus, OH, Gloria Myers, Jamaica, NY Minnie Myers, Varnville, SC, Thelma Stephens and Delores Stephens both of Orangeburg, SC; special niece, Teresa Smith; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
