James Roosevelt Jamison Jr. was born to Latoya Monroe and the (Late) James Roosevelt Jamison Sr. in Columbus, Ohio on December 30,2003. James Roosevelt Jamison Jr. (Lil James) was a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend Lil James gained his wings on February 18,2023 at the age of 19. Lil James attended Parsons Elementary School; Lil James received his high school diploma from Focus Southwest learning academy on June 1, 2022.

Lil James passions included spending time with his siblings, vibing with his friends. Lil James enjoyed listening to music, rapping, playing little league football for the Rams, and playing basketball with family and friends. Lil James favorite basketball player was Lebron James. One of Lil James dreams was to become a barber. Lil James was known for his contagious smile and making people laugh. Most of all Lil James loved making money and making sure his mother, siblings and nieces and nephews were taken care of.

James was an employee with UPS.

James Roosevelt Jamison Jr. was preceded in death by Father James Roosevelt Jamison Sr., Grandmother Maria Monroe, Grandfather Henry Monroe Jr., Grandmother Vickie Stokes. Sister Taylor Hairston-Broadnax.Lil James is survived by Mother Latoya Monroe, (Stepfather) Eddie Childers. Grandfather David Johnson, Grandmother Maria Johnson sisters Kidan Gray and Jasmine Jamison, brothers Denzel Monroe, Miquile Gray, Nasir Clark and David Haskins. God Brothers Kahlil Lynch, God Sisters Gi’Niyah Lynch, Imiriyah Broadnax, Derehauna Dumas. Aunts, Sonya Monroe, Tamika Lewis, Lakeysha Williams, Sanequa Jamison, Wendy Jamison, Tankia Jamison and Sabrina Jamison, Elizabeth Scott. Uncles, Uncle James Jamison, Uncle Kevin. Nieces, Destinee Snipes, Nyomi O’neal, Jahzara Gray. Nephews, Deshon Snipes, Miquile Gray Jr. Cousins, Tamiah Jamison, Gena, Nakia Jamison, Marcellus Jamison, Victorious Wiggins, sovereign Jamison-Wiggins, Temperance Jamison, Lou’Anthony Armistead, Le’Marion Williams, La’miracle Williams, Makayla S. Mickens, Dylon L. Reed, A’lona L. Reed, King D. A. Jackson. Also, a host of friends.

Visitation 1:00 PM and Funeral Service 2:00 PM Saturday, March 11, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
