Mr. James W. Sherred Sr., 83, passed away on March 21, 2022. James was born on November 18, 1938 in Columbus, MS to Lorenzo Sherred Sr. and Sarah Sherred.
James started playing golf at 13 years of age, learning caddying at a country club in Mississippi. He retired playing Golf and retired from The National Seating Company in 1986
He is preceded in death by his parent and sister, Rosie Porter.
James is survived by daughter, Monica V. Sherred; son James W. Sherred Jr.; sisters, Queen Vaughn and Lillie Sherred; brother, J.T. Harrison and Johnell Sherred; grandchildren, Irvin Sherred, JaLisa Graham, Whitney Cheatem and Sterling Sherred ;4 great children including a special greatgrandson, Semaja Sanks and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE MANSFIELD 753 McPherson St.
