  4. May God comfort the family as a whole and may you all continue to Love and take care of each and share Jeremiah memories and Love . Love Y’all

  5. I loved watching Jay listen and sing along to music. He loved music! He recorded music. There are songs that come on the radio which will always remind me of Jay. Jay was a magnet to children; I think because he had a child’s wonder and playfulness in life. I had the honor of attending his various sporting events, and he was a great team player, a favorite of his teammates, because he would keep them laughing. I remember when Jay, Lillie, and I drove to Iowa when he first entered college. How exciting for him, and us. We were so proud. Jay made the best french fries, and Lillie taught him to make the best french toast. I love you, Jay; a light has left this world, but he is now a shining light in Heaven.

  6. Sending prayers and love. So sorry for your deep loss.

  7. Love never dies. Never to be forgotten by those you left behind. Your light will always shine in us. Till we meet again at Jesus feet. To the family, may the good Lord give you peace that passes all understanding, to somehow make it through.

It’s clear that Hicks touched everyone he met in one way or another. He is already so deeply missed. I won’t go into detail or share a bunch of stories but he was nothing short of great!!! I am hoping that his passing brings families closer together and makes everyone to remember smile more! That’s all Jay wanted.

  9. So very sorry to hear about this. Offering prayers for the family and especially my colleague, Lillie.

  10. A Prayer of Comfort for You All. I know how difficult this must be. We never know from day to day what God’s Plan is. We must be ready. I remember Jerimiah as a little boy with that beautiful smile. He has gained his wings & is soaring high. R.I.P. Baby. My continued prayers for you & many Blessings. Much Love. Aunt Di/Ms. Di/Diane

In late winter, 2020, when Jeremiah was severely ill and in the hospital, I asked him on the phone if he wanted me to pray. He said, in a very weakened voice, “yes”. The spirit of God came over us in mighty power during that prayer. He was in Columbus, and I near Cincinnati. The holy love of Jesus held us in that moment. I prayed for angels to be round about him. I asked God to remove all fear and to attend him in perfect peace. I asked God to let Jeremiah know that he was of great worth, equal to all souls, in the sight of god and of man. We both were held in the hands of God as one. When the prayer ended I asked him, ” Jay, did you feel that power?” His voice was a whisper and he said, “Yes, thank you, Gramma”. We each said ” I love you” and I am so thankful for that precious bond. I reminded him to call on God, in Jesus name anytime.
