Jerry Dean Curtis, age 71, was born September 29, 1951, in Marietta, OH. He departed this earthly life on December 3, 2022, in Columbus, OH.

Jerry attended the Public School System in Akron, OH. Jerry worked at Urban Express, Columbus Dispatch as a District Manager of Carriers and retired in 2007. Jerry also worked at COTA for 29 years until his retirement and was currently working for OSU transportation as bus driver until his death. He loved working all his jobs.

Jerry was married to his loving devoted wife, Warrenetta Kelly Cutis, for 19 years. He gave his life to Christ at Greater 12th in 2010.

Jerry enjoyed fishing, traveling, and playing Bid Whist, and going to the casinos. He really believed in family and even organized family cookouts at his home, where all were invited.

Jerry will truly be missed by his co- workers, friends, family and wife, Warrenetta. He fought a good fight, but God said come my son for rest.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Louella Curtis; sister, Diane Harris –Tyus; son, Germain Harris; granddaughters, Lakeisha Wilson and Sariya Stallings; nieces that he raised, Porchia Tyus and Tracie Harris.

Jerry is survived by wife, Warrenetta Curtis; children, Jerry Harris, Deshawn Davis- Wilson, Demitra “Nickey” Greer, and Michael Curtis; step-children, Barbara Freeman and Keyonna Thomas; sister, Danielle Harris; aunt, Beverly Powell; brother-in-law, Julius Tyus and Robert Matlock; niece, Lashawn (Malik) Holloway; special brother/cousin, David Curtis; 10 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, all who were the apple of his eye, RJ, Davonte Sr., Davonte Jr., Antonio, Rico, Kendalyah; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation 9:00am and Funeral 10:00am Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Greater Twelfth Missionary Baptist Church, 1561 Cleophus Kee Blvd.

Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
