Jerry Lee Hike was born on April 18, 1966 in Columbus, Ohio to Theo and Virginia Hike.

Jerry attended Columbus City Schools and was a member of the Westside Boys Club. He was a great athlete and excelled at every sport he participated in from football to basketball, baseball, swimming, track & field, and wrestling at all levels.

Jerry is preceded in death by his maternal great-great grandmother; Gertrude ‘Nanny’ Hannable, maternal great-grandparents; Jerry Lee and Sarah May (Gray) Hicks, maternal grandmother; Gertrude Hicks, maternal great uncle; Raymond Lee Hicks, maternal aunt; Loretta Ann Hicks, paternal grandparents; Thearthur and Mittie (Lumpkin) Hike, paternal
uncles; Thearthur Hike, John R. Hike, Clifford W. Hike, paternal aunts; Leatha Franklin, Nina M. Johnson, nephew; Theo ‘Trey’ Hike III, cousins; Marlin Martin Rawls, Jeremiah Lee Hicks, Alvin L. Johnson Jr. and Darius Reed.

Jerry is survived by his children; Zakiyyah Edwards, Tanisha McGrapth, and Montia Carter, parents; Theo and Virginia Hike, aunts; Marian J. Taylor, Barbara L. (George) Washington, grandchildren; Nevaeh Watson, Ny’azia Watson, Nakarii McGrapth, Nisahn McGrapth, Moabi El, MoReza El, MoReena El, brother; Theo Hike Jr., sisters; Tracy Hicks, Marcia Hike, Nina Hike, Leondra Walker, Alisha Hike, Sheena Hike, Charita Hike a host of nephews and nieces including British Hicks, Jyla Hicks, Abriena Hike, a host of cousins including Lois Hicks, Keli (Jimmie) Hicks-Raines, Brittany Hicks, Joshua Hicks, Mya White, Kawaisha Rawls, Kawan Rawls, Marcia (Craig) Taylor-Martin, Tony (Darlene) Anthony, Dana Johnson,
