EilandJeryll

Jeryll S. Eiland transitioned unexpectedly on Friday May 7, 2021 at his residence.

Jeryll was the son of Genola and Robert Lee Eiland, Jr.

Jeryll was educated in the Columbus Public Schools and graduated from Brookhaven High School. He later went on to serve four years in the United States Navy. He was a dedicated member of Abounding Praise Worship Center.

Jeryll was affectionately known as “Mister Bill” by his family, while his friends called him “Jay”. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles, driving cross country in his semi, avid music lover and D.J. Jeryll was also admired for his willingness to come to the aid of any and all he could help.  He loved the Lord with his heart, soul and might.  Lastly, he was probably the Pittsburgh Steelers Football Team’s biggest fan.

Jeryll is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Eiland, Jr.

Jeryll leaves to cherish his memories, mother, Genola Eiland; daughters, Jeanessa (Daniel) Nembhard, Delania Eiland, and Jayda Eiland; five grandchildren, Gunnar, Lennox, and Royce, McKenzie, Amari; sisters, Cheryl (Will) Richardson, Norma (Glenn) Pulley, Matilda (Malcolm) Jordan, and Monica (Antonio) Evans; brothers, Johnny Ray (Cheryl) Richardson, Rydell (Melissa) Richardson, Christopher Evans and Don Evans; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at New Generation Church, 1173 Essex Ave.
