Jo Anne Jackson aka, “Jo” or “Mommy” was born October 25,1959. She went home to be with her King on May 11, 2019. She gave her life to Christ at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Clairton Pa., where she served on the usher board.

Jo Anne was the daughter of Mary E Jackson and Earnest Woodson. She was the eldest of three children: Kelley(Dary) Berry and Ahmad Jackson. She was a lovin caring and devoted mother of five beautiful children which she always referred to as her babies. Nikkia (Brian), Shamyia and Brandon Jackson and Toi and Jason (Tiana) Burley. She was a grammy to Breyaun, Nikayla, Brian, Christina Jones, Asia, Markis,
Shyanne, Kah-lani Jackson, Tyyawn, Jamiyah Washington, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She joins Stacey, Buggy and Tony in Heaven.

Jo Anne was always known to be in the kitchen to make everyone smile when she finished her masterpieces. She loved to cook her famous rolls, cheesecakes, lasagna and that fabulous honey barbeque chicken. Her smile could light up a room and once you saw the dimples, the party was on. Joy and laughter would fill the room. She was a true lover of nature and animals. As her daughter Nikki would have it told, “Mommy was Jack Hannah’s baby sister”. If Jo Anne was not outdoors, you would find her in the
corner of a couch, watching her movies and she could never run out because she had plenty of movies to choose from.

Jo Anne was known to get her party on and dance until the last call. She lived to have would always say things that we needed to hear. She had a knack for solving the every minute count. One thing we all know, she was wise and very outspoken, she hardest puzzles in the house. Jo Anne gave you wisdom for thought but friends and family knew, she was not to be tested or tried. Her babies would always come first when she had to sew or crochet a pattern for a blanket or anything that would keep them warm and to remind them that mommy is always close by. All in all, Jo Ann was a friend and a mommy to many, so today her babies rise together and call her, “Blessed’

To the Jackson family. My heart is with you and your family at this time of your loss. There is comfort in knowing God’s promises about the resurrection hope. (Acts 24:15) and (John 5:28,29) In the past God has resurrected humans and He is eager to do it again because He hates death. (Mark 5:41-43) It is not God’s purpose originally for mankind to grow old, get sick and die. To learn more about God’s promises go to JW.ORG. There are online Bible study lessons featured and more. Love, Your Neighbor Irish J. Richardson

Our family is deeply sadden to have lost a “Dear Loving Soul”. Jo Anne was the type of person who loved all but was bold when she had to be. I will miss my cousin in a way no words can find. I know that as we gather and celebrate her life she will “never” be forgotten. Her children honored her. Her bond was her bond and her loyalty was family. I love you Jo Buns. Always my comedy movie partner. Cousin Rhonda
