My prayers are with you at this time. Pope was a pleasure for me to coach, and to be around. As all the kids I coached I feel are family he is no different. Hearing the news hurt me and reality hasn’t set in yet. I will miss every time I see him out that smile or hearing that voice followed by a random joke or story. We were blessed to have pope on this earth. Gone but never will he be forgotten .

You can remember him and only that he’s gone,
or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.

My deepest condolences are with the Pope family during this extremely difficult time. My husband was John’s basketball coach at Independence and often spoke about his limitless potential. My husband will miss him dearly, as I’m sure countless others will as well. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May he rest in peace.

MY HEART IS BROKEN FOR I NEVER KNEW YOUR SON AS FOR SAY MEETING HIM IN PERSON FACE TO FACE BUT I FEEL THE PAIN DEEP FOR I TOO LOST A LOVING YOUNG SON AT AGE 18 IN 1994 FROM AN ACT OF VIOLENCE WITH HIS LIFE TAKEN AWAY, AND KNOW ONE CAN FILL THAT VOID BUT GOD AND IN TIME HE WILL SEE YOU ALL THROUGH THE PAIN AND HEART ACHE. YOUR SON’S MEMORIES WILL LIVE ON FROM WHAT WAS TOLD FROM MANY MY GRANDDAUGHTER AS ONE YOUR SON WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON AND VERY BRIGHT!!! OUR PRAYER’S ARE WITH YOU ALL.
