John Fitzgerald Drummond, 59, gained his wings on February 1, 2023. John was born on January 12, 1964 to Pauline Marie Drummond and Johnny (Buddy) Meek in Columbus, Ohio.

He received his education in Dayton, Ohio and graduated from Dayton Dunbar High School.

Known in his circles as “Unko Drum”, John would go on to travel across the country with a career in music
and production. Eventually John’s life would become committed to activism becoming a motivational speaker and, Chief Of
Staff for New Order National Human Rights Organization, fighting for multiple causes alongside his long time friend and President, Gerald E. Rose.

John lived a Courageous Life!

John Drummond is preceded in death by his foster parents; Marie and John Pilgrim, father; Johnny Meek,
brother; Emanuel “Manny” Drummond, sister; Sylvia Betts-Drummond, and nephews; Dante Crayton and
Fred Thomas Jr.

John leaves to cherish his memories, mother; Pauline Drummond, sister; Anita Thomas-Drummond,
brother; Jamil Drummond, sister in-law; Dominique Pace-Drummond, loving and devoted friend; Barbara
Branigan, aunt & cousin Monique & Hasani Deziaueto (California), best friend; Bob Mitchell (Dayton, Ohio),
friend; Gearld E. Rose and the whole New Order Family, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends
and loved ones.

Visitation 1:00pm and Funeral 2:00pm Saturday, February 18, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

I am so sorry for your loss. John was a really lovely kid when I knew him in junior high at Longfellow School in Dayton. And he seemed like a sweet and righteous man as an adult. I wish I had been able to get reacquainted.
