Johnnie Lee Ginn was born on June 28, 1937 in Mississippi to Monroe and Rosie Ginn. He had 10 siblings.

Johnnie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a rock to all of his family. He always gave support in everyone’s vision and ideas to move forward. He would take in everyone that needed somewhere to stay. He was always there to talk when you needed someone. He was a man of God with strong faith.

Johnnie was preceeded in death by his mother, Rosie Powell; father, Monroe Ginn; brothers, Jimmy Ginn, Isaac Ginn , James Ginn, Charles Ginn, and LT Ginn; sisters, Mary France, Wille Johnson , and Dove Ginn and daughter, Brenda Carthorn

He leaves to cherish his precious memories; sons, Rufus Rembert, Cornelius Williams, Johnnie Dotson,
Richard Richardson, Lorenzo Butler, Carlos Butler and Johnathan Ginn; daughters, Rosa Riebelle (May Anthony), Kittie Daniels, Stella Omosigho, Georgetta Marshall, Leslie Dotson, Cassandra Sears, Fatimah Richardson and Sharon Herd; siblings, Alexander Ginn, Napoleon Ginn, and Nettie McGrew; 34 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren, also a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation 12:00pm and Funeral 1:00pm Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Temple of Faith Church of God in Christ, 1441 Brentnell Ave.
