Jonathan Aaron Mitchell was born June 12, 1968 in Winston Salem, NC. to Belinda Mitchell-Baker, and Lee Grant Mobiley. He went home to be with the Lord on January 19, 2020 at the age of 51.

Jonathan had a big beautiful personality. Just like his smile, he was the life of any party. Jonathan loved to cook, laugh, dance, listening to music, he also had a remarkable talent for drawing and most importantly, he loved his family more than anything. He will be deeply missed.

Jonathan is preceded in death by father Lee Grant Mobiley, grandparents Mary Frances, and David McDuffie, and aunt Rosemary (Dusty) Mitchell.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories; mother Belinda Baker, daughters Ashley and Lolo Cason, grandchildren Knaledge and Faith Harris, Cam’ron and Capri Michaels, and Maurice Newsom Jr., uncle Bernard Bitting, siblings Mario Reynolds, Michael (Georgia and Mike Jr.) Mitchell, Eddie, David, Nichole, Michelle, Jerome, and Maryin McNeal, Tina (Walt) Campbell, Tony (Patricia) McNeal, Teresa and Steven Hine, Toni (Jermaine) Mosely, long-time friends Tyrone and Myra Tucker, also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Friday, February 7, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
