Joe was a great guy. His wonderful smile and great sense of humor will be greatly missed by all of us at the Health department .
Every Friday morning, Joe and I would chat it up while he setup his BBQ tent. Pre-COVID, we would sit and chat for hours at Starbucks in Bexley. I’m really going to miss his smile and hello…. I thought he was a wonderful person.
I am really going to miss my friend Joe we always loved joking around with one another. He always was smiling and had a great laugh. I will miss our phone calls to each other on our Birthday and me going to see him on James Road to get Barbecue. Rest In Peace my Friend.

I trust Joe is lounging on the patio at the Heaven Starbucks having a coffee and chatting with all his friends who passed before him. I know he is happy and at peace. Every time we would chat he spoke most proudly of his children. It is sad that his passing was so untimely and none of us were able to say a proper goodbye. We can still say a quiet goodbye, we love you and miss you !!

I was shocked to hear of the passing of my friend Joe, although we haven’t seen each other in many years, we have talked a few things this year. Joe was such a great n humorous guy. Sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. I first met Joe while he, the Custer brothers and others were walking to their Job at the Columbus Dispatch Paper Station off of Madison Ave. I believe all those guys were hard working entrepreneurs. Joe invited me to the 1966 EHS Football Banquet which also was my 1st high school dance as a freshman (we’re in the 66-67 EHS Yearbook, he in a suit & me in a pink dress). Joe was always a nice person & fun to be around. I pray that his family find comfort in all the wonderful memories they have and I extend my deepest sympathies to them at the transitioning of Joseph Jackson, Jr.
