Joshua (Josh) Keith Waugh Jr. was born October 3, 2004, in Columbus, Ohio. Parents Chandra Florida, Joshua Keith Waugh Sr., and Andre Clayborn. Through his lifetime of resilience, he was called home on April 24, 2023.

Josh`s education started as young as 4 years of age at Tiny Toes Day Care Center. So many of the staff cared for and spoiled him. He moved on to Millennium Community School where he excelled, winning the school spelling B several times. He then moved onto Franklinton Preparatory Academy.

Joshua was loved by an abundance of family and friends, because of his selflessness, sense of humor, and special sixth sense, as well as his love for his family, his authenticity, and the power of his words he blessed others with. He had fun playing basketball, making music with his cousins Myhe and Mahiya, and teasing his sister from another mister Cherish. Joshua loved animals. He treated his dog “Kilo” and his bearded dragon “King” like they were his children. He was always respectful to everyone including the elderly he cut grass for in the neighborhood. He enjoyed Reese’s cups, nutty bars, zebra cakes, Swiss rolls, because he was a sweetheart. Although Josh was a soft spoken and laid-back young man, he was passionate about the way he felt. He always stood his ground!

He is preceded in death by his father; Andre Clayborn, grandfather; Willie D. Love, great grandparents; Daisy (Willie) Florida and host of other family and friends.

He leaves to cherish, his mother; Chandra Florida, siblings; Alayshia Florida, A’shyla Clayborn, Andre Clayborn Jr., Trevon Waugh, Javion Waugh, Jos ‘mire Waugh, and Josiah Waugh, grandparents; Carolyn (Glenn) Florida – Jones, Rhonda Clayborn, Lawrence Bell, Letissia (Eugene) Cobb, and Elvis Tyrone Waugh, aunts; Malikia Love and Suriedia Florida, uncles; Jamico Florida, Andrew Clayborn, and Davon Odoms, great uncles; Demetress Lamonte Florida, Zaeius Jones and Zarron Jones. A host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends including; Sanyika March, Jerean Denson, Ali’cia Moore, and Von George.

Joshua fought many battles, but he was a strong soldier. May he now rest. His lyrical message to all “When I go to Heaven just wish me well.”
