Mrs. Juanita Brown was born May 22, 1935 in SOSO Mississippi and passed away peacefully December 24, 2020.

Juanita grew up surrounded by family. One day while shopping, Juanita met the love of her life, the late Frank Brown Sr. Frank and Juanita were married on July 3, 1956 and later moved to Columbus, Ohio. Frank and Juanita went on to have 3 wonderful children that they both cherished.

Juanita is known for her wonderful soul food cooking and would cook Sunday dinner any day of the week. She made the best jelly cake and the best pineapple upside down cake. Another of her favorite dishes to cook and eat was fried okra. However, her great-grandchildren’s favorite dishes were her mac and cheese, cupcakes and smoothies.

Juanita found great pleasure in working in her flower beds. She truly had a green thumb. She also loved spending time cooking and shopping with her sisters. They will forever be each other’s best friend.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Ivey Graves Sr. and Nola (Graves) Musgrove; husband, Frank Brown Sr.; brother, Ivey Graves J. and her beloved daughter, Allesa Brown.

Juanita leaves to cherish her memories, daughter, Cathy (Donovan) Denby and son, Frank (Toia) Brown Jr.; sister, Elise (Ted) Estrada and Theola (Charles) Page as well as a host pf grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
