Katherine L. Graveley Nickell, age 93.
Sunrise September 4, 1923 in Huntington, WV and Sunset January 25, 2017 in Columbus, OH.
Katherine was a graduate of Douglas High School in Huntington, WV and was retired as a Therapist at Columbus Developmental Center. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church where she served with the Usher Board, Seasoned Citizens and Welcome Ministries.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, William Robert And Lucy Dickerson Graveley; husband, Thomas Nickell; granddaughter, Yulanda K. Bradley; and siblings William Graveley, Roy J. Graveley, Helena Graveley, Marva Graveley, Melvin Graveley, Mary H. Dawson, Juanita Graveley and Nathaniel Graveley. Left to cherish her memory, brother Frank (Alice) Graveley; niece and caregiver Sharon D. Reid; stepson, David (Annie) Nickell; Godchild, Marta Rae-Johnson; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00 noon Thursday, February 2, 2017 at New Salem Baptist Church 2956 Cleveland Ave. Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
