Katrina Marie Moorer was born May 15, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio to Orven Sr. and Daisy Moorer. She departed this life, Saturday, January 14, 2023.

At a young age, she accepted Christ as her personal savior. Katrina was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she previously sang in the choir and was seldom seen without her tambourine.

She graduated from East High School and the Ohio Cosmetology School and was employed with the Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services.

Katrina loved her family dearly and was always the life of the party. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending their soccer games and celebrating their major milestones.

Katrina was known to be supportive of her family and friends and was a loving, caring and compassionate woman of God.

She is preceded in death by parents; Orven Sr. and Daisy Moorer, brother; Jeffrey Moorer, sisters; Jackie Mites, Ozella Pittman and sister-in-law; Sheila Moorer and best friend; Sharon Hickey.

Katrina leaves to cherish her memories, her son; Jeffrey Moorer, brothers; Orven (Jacque) Moorer, Jr., Jerome (Gina) Moorer, and Lowell (Joann) Miller, sisters; Betty Castleberry, Barbara Jean Moorer, and Gwendolyn (Decole) Harton, grandchildren; Aaliyah, Zion, Chance (Marshay Kimber), Jeffery Jr., Brooklyn, Gabriella (Shaniqua Stevens), and Jordyn (Charmaine Willis), Godsons; Tyree Morgan, Jesse Bryant, Donte Farrow, Chris Moss, and Richard Prentiss and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.).

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.

To the family of the wonderful and beautiful Katrina, we had the pleasure of sharing this earth with her but for a brief time but you should know, there is no one who can say a bad word about our departed Sister. She attended our cookouts and fish fries and always had a wonderful and beautiful smile. We will sincerely miss her and yet, we are also envious of her. As Christians, it is our goal to be with Jesus and, she has beaten us, so while we are all sad, we can delight that she in in the presence of our Lord and Savior!
