Kendra Lanette Ayers-Chever, age 48, left us on June 6, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio, where she was born on March 3, 1975. Kendra was a hair magician, graduating from Ohio State School of Cosmetology and becoming a licensed cosmetologist. She owned her own salon, Kendra’s House of Beauty, and also worked at Bridges Unique Hair Boutique. She definitely knew how to make you look and feel your best!

Kendra is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Eric Chever, and four children: Brandon Crudup, Terrance Ayers Jr., Chanel (Tony) Ayers and Christopher Ayers. She was also blessed with ten grandchildren. Kendra’s mother, Brenda (Michael) Ware, and siblings Anthony (Leslie) Crudup Jr., Yolanda (Craig) Howell, Leondra (Richard) Young, Anthony Crudup III and Sandra (David) Hairston also survive her along with a host of other relatives and friends. Kendra was preceded in death by her father, Anthony L. Crudup Sr., sister, Teresa Richardson, maternal grandparents, Steve and Emma Reed and paternal grandparents, Jim and Lodie Crudup.

Kendra was a woman of great talent and a deep love for her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her husband and granddaughters who she affectionately referred to as her “doll babies”. She was a cut above the rest and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

We at the Power of Prayer Church Ministries send our condolences to the family of Kendra Ayer’s Chever. Kendra was a beautiful person she loved ministry and helping others. I remember when she came to our princess day for the young ladies at our church function, she did their hair and assisted them in whatever they wanted done to be beauty queen for the day. She was always a pleasure to see and talk to. Kendra Rest in heaven with the Heavenly Father. She fought a good fight and she finished her course and kept the faith. Now there is a crown of righteousness laid up for her in heaven. 2 Timothy 4: 7-8a

  7. I’m so very sad to hear that you passed Cousin Kendra. I prayed that you would get better but I guess the Lord wanted you to go to him early. Your passing has caused sadness for my daughter SéKara (you use to do her hair when she was younger) and for my wife, Devanie who thought you were such a nice person. To Aunt Brenda, Cousin Tony, Cousin Yolanda and to Eric Chever and Cousin Kendra’s children my deepest sympathies go out to all of ya’ll. Cousin Kendra was loved by so many family members and her many clients and friends. She has moved on to be with the Lord but she will always be remembered to those of us still blessed to be living.

Her thoughtfulness and willingness to go the extra mile for her loved ones truly exemplified her kind and generous nature She touched the lives of many through her work and brought joy to countless individuals. Her legacy will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she impacted.

We know how special your bond with Kendra was, especially sharing the same birthday on March 3. May the memories of your shared moments bring you comfort and strength in the days ahead.
