Kenneth Von Lee Goins

Goins

Kenneth Lee Von Goins (a.k.a.) Kenneth Lee Von Brown was born on May 25, 1971 in Columbus, Ohio to Eric C. Brown and Belva R. Goins. He was the “apple of their eye”.

Kenny learned to love the Lord at an early age. He frequently spoke of the times he worshipped at Mt Gerizim Baptist Church with his Grandmother Frances.

Kenny attended Walnut Ridge High School. He went on to study Culinary Arts at Columbus State Community College. He also graduated from an independent career education program in recent years. He was an accomplished chef and received numerous accolades for his skills.

Kenny loved his family. He and his mother were extremely close. He also had a very special relationship with his dad. They enjoyed going on fishing trips and challenging others on the pool table. His Aunt Charlotte was his second mother and she loved him with all her heart. He was her “Kenny Boo”.

Kenny was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Emmett and Frances Brown; maternal grandparents, John L. Goins and Ora (Cleve) Westmoreland; stepmother, Deborah Brown; brother, David Smith; cousins, Antonio Brown, Steven Brown, James Derick Goins and Nicole Rakes.

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory his parents; Eric Brown and Belva (John) Goins-Ramsey; children, Kenya and Joneal Goins and D’Andre Moorer; siblings, Ashala Smith, Renee Cannon, Laneeta and Amire Smith; special aunts, Charlotte Goins Carter, Karen Smith and Gonnie Goins; special cousins, Jeremiah Carter Jr., Monique Goins-Ransom, Ryan Smith, Michael Heiko, Scha Scha Charles, Alan and Greg Magwood and Jeffrey Smith, as well as a host of other loving relatives and friends .
