Kenneth Wayne Poe was born April 25th, 1954, to Jim and Gladys T. Poe.  His journey took a turn on January 23, 2022. “Kenny” as known to his family, attended Mohawk Jr. Sr. High School where he played football.

Kenny became a parent during his high school years with Ilene Thompson, that relationship brought three children, Kevin, Sharmayne and Shawnetta.  He left high school taking a job at Buckeye Steel and was employed there for many years before taking an interest in driving dump trucks while working at Enviro Recycling Group. He was employed there over 30 years.

As a young man fast cars were his passion and he owned several “Hot Rods”. Later he became interested in motorcycles and began riding. He joined the Heavy Medal Motorcycle Club where he was National President and known as “Black Magic”.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents Jim and Gladys T. Poe, aunts, Alberta Tucker, Beatrice Greene, Geraldine Taylor; uncles, Floyd Taylor, Samuel Greene; brother, Burton J. Poe; niece, Myra Taylor; nephew, Myron Taylor; stepson, Johnathon Lee Ford.

Never to be forgotten and always loved by his children, Kevin Sharmayne, Shanetta; sister, Ethel Taylor; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, the love of his life, Sandra Ford (Ms Leggs Déjà vu); stepsons, Christopher and Seantel Ford as well as many nieces and nephews , best friends forever Billy D. Zee, Lady, Wolverine, T. L., Dirty South; special nephew, Gooch and Heavy Medal M.C..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Public Walk Thru 9:00, Visitation 10:00 AM and Private Funeral (TICKET REQUIRED) 11:00 AM Thursday, February 10, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.).
