Kim Yvette Burchette

IMG 1575

Kim Yvette (Reeves) Burchette was born August 7, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Mary (Hayes) Reeves and Caloway Reeves Sr. Kim was called home to be with the Heavenly father, her mother, and her beloved son on December 18, 2022, at the age of 61 after a valiant battle with cancer.

Kim grew up in Columbus, OH and was a 1979 graduate of Central High School who went on to become a Jill of all Trades.

Kim loved to live life. She enjoyed music, traveling, spending time with her family, and her sweet dog Bella. After losing her son, she made it her mission to ensure every child in her family was covered in love and
support. She had a larger-than-life personality and anyone that met her has a memory. Kim always had a contagious excitement when she was able to celebrate with her family. Whether it was a holiday, birthday,
graduation, or anything in between, Kim would be there with her signature pageboy hat ready to eat, drink, and be merry! Her fiery spirit and loving nature will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew her.

Kim is preceded in death by her son Gary Michael “Quake” Reeves, parents Mary (Hayes), and Caloway Reeves Sr., sisters Valorie (George) Dilliard, and Brenda (Charles) Williams, brothers Terry (Gina) Reeves, Torrence Reeves, and Keith Reeves, nephew Frank “Jerk” Harvell, niece Makia Harvell, and dear sister-in-law Tina (Jamar) Reeves.

Kim will be missed by her siblings Arnetta (Fred) Cox, Willia (Frank) Harvell, Michael (Darlene) Reeves, Caloway (Jonnie) Reeves Jr., Bruce (Carla) Reeves, Kevin Reeves, Tamara (Leonard) Valentine, and Tobbi (Moses) Herriott, many nieces and nephews, cousins, and her dog Bella.
