DoverKimeta
Kimeta A. Warwick Dover was born December 21, 1956 to William Marion Warwick (deceased) and Helen J. Warwick.  She departed this life on December 27, 2021.  She is survived by her beloved mother Helen J. Warwick; her children Adoria Dover and Kirk Dover (Carrie); step daughter Ebony Long May; grandchildren Amryn, Auri, Jay and Khyler; brother William Kirwan Warwick and dear friend Reginald A. Cooke.  Kimeta worked at Ross/Abbott Laboratories for twenty years in Advertising and Marketing and culminated her prestigious career there as Diversity and Inclusion Manager. Besides her many awards and accolades, she is remembered most as being the kindest person that most have ever worked with. She was also a member of Toastmasters International where she was awarded the Communication and Leadership award from District 40.
Kimeta was dedicated to mentoring, training, capacity building, and support through her unwavering service for over a decade with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio/MENTOR Central Ohio. Kimeta was a selfless leader, always making her colleagues, kids and families served, her priority. Kimeta’s focused curriculum and engaging support gave mentors confidence and spurred commitment, as she had such an ability to break down complex content in a way that connected with audiences. Her influence can be seen throughout many organizations over the years as she provided key training and development for various organizations through her local and National work with MENTOR Central Ohio. In all she did, Kimeta was a perfect colleague and friend—warm, caring, fun, had the best sense of humor, was innovative and creative, and was truly committed to the mission. Kimeta was truly an inspiration to humanity.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no official service, rather a Celebration of Life.
Celebration of Life 6:00pm Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Ohio School for the Deaf Alumni Association, 1055 Colony Drive, Westerville OH 43081.
