Kimuel Terrance Blackburn, known affectionately as “Terry”, went to rest in peace with family at his side on December 9, 2019 at the age of 59.

Born on December 14, 1959, Terry was a native of Columbus, Ohio. Working in manufacturing for most of his life, he retired from Allied Minerals this year where he worked as a technician creating solutions and resolving issues since 2006. Terry appreciated that his math skills and love for science ( a gift inherited from his mother) were finally being put to good use. He loved his career at Allied Minerals and spoke highly of his coworkers, friends, and the management team. When not at work, traveling with his wife Debbie was a treasured past time. He loved fishing with his brother Nelson and long heartfelt conversations with his sister Robyn. He and his brother Miguel shared a love for music whether it was listening, playing, or composing. Terry enjoyed watching The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, or any sport he could get on TV or radio. Terry was a true Renaissance man. He was introduced to Christ early in life and was a member of Wayne Avenue Church of God under the late Pastor Wilbur. As health permitted, he attended the First Church of God.

He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Blackburn, and siblings Robyn Kemp (Taylor), Nelson Taylor (Paula), Miguel Kent, Uncle Kit Blackburn, Aunt Kathleen Blackburn, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will hold his memory close to their hearts. Terry was preceded in death by grandparents Thomas and Naza Blackburn, parents Naza Blackburn and Henry Kent, infant son Scotty Blackburn, and uncles Ronald “Ronnie” Blackburn and Thomas “Tommy” Blackburn.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Memorial Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at First Church of God, 3480 Refugee Rd.
