Public Viewing from 9:00am – 10:00am followed by a Private Visitation 10:00am and Private Funeral Service 11:00am Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.

Condolences for the family of “Lafayette Earl Bondurant”
Uncle LaFay will truly be missed. He was my favorite uncle and was so funny. I have a lot of fond childhood and some adulthood memories of him. He loved to play with his nieces and nephews. He loved playing last tag and face tag with us, but his sisters hated it because we’d be crying if he got the last tag He would play this game called Rock School with us where we would sit at the bottom of the stairs, and he would have a quarter hidden in his hand, and if you tapped the hand that had the quarter in it, you’d move up a step. He always had Faygo pop for us that he kept in the pantry. And ice cream – he always had ice cream for us. And the quarters he’d give us for whatever reasons – winning one of his games or for good grades. And he gave some of the best birthday and Christmas gifts, which usually included money too. But the most funniest memory is when I was in the hospital after having just delivered my one and only child. Uncle LaFay told me this LONG story about some pregnant lady. The story wasn’t funny, but Uncle LaFay was a detailed man when he told stories. I won’t recount the story – mainly because I can’t remember it all – but it was how he began the story. He said, “It was a cool, crisp, autumn day. I remember it, I remember it like it happened yesterday. The Ohio State Buckeyes were playing…” There were 3 men in this story, and Uncle LaFay, stopped to actually count each man. He said, “One, two, three.” I thought I’d lose it!
Uncle LaFay, thank you for the great memories and your financial help when needed throughout the years. I love you and will miss you!
Hey uncle laffy I miss you dearly , everytime I think about I can just remember your hugs and big wet kisses on the forehead that was always my favorite part of seeing you I wish we had more time I just wanna come over to your house and see what a day in yo life would be like , I just want one more hug one more kiss I love you Soo much , till we meet again
