Lailure Beatrice Burton, age 66, was born April 4, 1954 and departed this life on November 9, 2020.

Lailure graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1972 where she was a part of the drill team. She retired from the City of Columbus Heath Department after 33 years of service to the WIC department. She was an active member of Grace Baptist Church.

Lailure had an amazing artistic eye and loved creating unique gifts for her family and friends. In her spare time, she loved fishing, traveling with friends, and thrift store shopping. She truly loved her family, would do anything in her power to help anyone and had a heart of gold.

Lailure is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Alversa Clifford and her brother James Darwin Clifford.

Lailure leaves to cherish her memory; children, Nikkianna (Michael) Baxter, Way-Shanne Burton, and Lailta (Nick) Grant; sisters, Renee Leftenant, Jacquelyn (Gerald) Wright, LeAnna Terrell, Tiletha (Arthur) Franklin, and Lori (John) Oglesbee; grandchildren, Kianna Burton, Kiarra Clifford, TyShanne Johnson, Dewon Brown, My’Asea Johnson-Burton, Dionte’ Waller, R’Yann Waller, Trenity Waller, Omega Waller, and Nakai Grant; great grandchildren, Amiyah Johnson and Nayquan Traylor; sister friends, Margo Vaughn, Pamela Caine, and Sylvia “Kay” Brown; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews relatives, and friends.

PRIVATE Visitation 1:00 PM and Funeral Service 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.

A MASK IS MANDATORY.
