La’Kita J. Weathers

WeathersLakita

La’Kita Jeanette Weather, was born March 29, 1986 in Louisville, KY., to Sheila Weathers and Robert Guy. She unexpectedly passed away Friday, January 31, 2020.

La’Kita resided here in Columbus for the past 29 years. She attended and graduated from Whetstone High School in 2004. La’Kita put herself through school at COTC in the medical field and became a successful Medical Assistant at OhioHealth.

La’Kita was a loving mother, daughter, sister, niece, and friend. She worked hard to achieve her career in the medical field and became a medical assistant. La’Kita was always at the top of the game, and made sure that she did what she had to do to survive for her children. She was full of life and enjoyed traveling to see the beautiful side of what the world had to offer. La’Kita loved food, going out with friends and family, having a casual drink just to celebrate the way of life. She really kept peace for herself.

Her children adored and loved their mother with every ounce of being they could give her. Her children meant the world to her and without a thought she gave them everything they needed and taught them the ways of life in this world. La’Kita older sister’s meant something special to her because each of them had some kind of unique form of love that they still held onto that got them through times that seemed hard, but somehow she always pushed through. La’Kita had many friends who loved and cared for her deeply. Everyone will miss her beautiful smile, her laugh, and just her whole presence. La’Kita had a good life and a big heart. She touched the lives of everyone she came across through her existence, and she will be truly missed but never forgotten.

La’Kita is preceded in death by father Robert Guy, grandparents William T. and Jeanette Weathers, and first cousin Cheri A. Dawson.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; beautiful children Braiylon and Makayla Nwokejobi, mother Sheila Weathers, sisters Michelle Kerns, Rochelle Weathers, of Columbus, OH., and Latisha Christian of Houston, Tx., nieces Lainette Oliver, Nalaijah Penn, and A’Laya Kerns, nephew Noah Reynolds, all of Columbus, OH., aunts Geneva Dawson of Louisville, KY., Charlene Anderson of Columbus, OH., and Brenda Weathers of Louisville, KY., uncles William T.
