Ms. Leare Pruitt Holliman was born in Desota County Mississippi on March 30, 1920 to William and Jenny McGhee Pruitt.

She confessed her love for Jesus Christ at Deans Hill Baptist Church in Desota County Mississippi.

At the age of 16, Ms. Holliman left Mississippi and relocated to Columbus, Ohio where she gained employment at the Timken company. Leare attended and graduated from Central High Night School. Upon leaving Timken, she gained employment at the Ohio State University, working in the Dietary Department until becoming disabled. While at OSU, she met her true love, John R. Holliman and they later married.

Between her work, she attended and joined Trinity Baptist Church where she remained an active member until 20 years ago due to leg and back problems limiting her.

Ms. Holliman leaves to cherish her memory, nephews; Henry Bryant, John Pruitt and Chester Pruitt, nieces; Christi Bryant, Shari Bryant and Sasha Bryant. A host of cousins and special friends; Marsha Diggs, Jada McDaniel and Michael Aaron. They were just a few special friends among many.
