Leroy Hilton, age 68, was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 13, 1949 to the late Robert Hilton and Ella Mae Hilton. Leroy departed this life on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He attended Columbus Public Schools and graduated from East High School. He was employed as a CIP Operator for the Columbus Public Schools, Food Service Department for 13 years.
Preceded in death by father, Robert Hilton; mother, Ella Mae Hilton; daughter, Stacy L. Hilton; brother, William Hilton; sister, Peggy Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memories, daughter, Shaunda (Darrell) Glover; son, Travis Hilton; brothers, Ted (Marilyn) Hollingsworth, Robert (Barbara) and Danny (Jackie) Hilton, Phil Hollingsworth; sisters, Mary (Donald) Duncan, Patricia (Raymond) Steele and sister-in-law, Jackie Hilton; grandchildren, Saige Glover, Davion Deveaux, Kavunaa Edwards, Nazir Hilton; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, and special companion, Francine Boykin.
Visitation 12:00 p.m. Funeral 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Refuge Baptist Church 400 N. 20th St.

I remember LeRoy as a very kind man with a big heart for those close to him. He helped Eric Hilton become the man he is through his mentoring and guidance. I am so sorry for your loss
