Leroy Maxwell Sr., age 70. Sunrise April 1, 1946 in Benoit, Mississippi, and Sunset June 19, 2016 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, OH.
Leroy worked many years as a Transporter and Security Officer. He was a member of New Life Prophetic Deliverance Church.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary B. Jamison Maxwell, and brother Levi Maxwell.
Left to cherish his memory, wife Fran D. Maxwell, sons Leroy (Sonya) Maxwell Jr., David R. (Yvonne) Maxwell, Kenneth Oneal Maxwell, Brian J. Maxwell, Cornelius B. Oatis, daughters Tracey E. Oatis, Kenyetta N. (Anthony) Oatis Harris, and Jennifer R. (Victor) Linville, brothers James (Crystal) Patterson, Louis (Janice) Maxwell, Melvin (Genary) Maxwell and Barnell (Angelic) Maxwell, sisters Beverly(Pastor Joseph) Wright, Adeline Wright, Mildred (D.J.) Jones, Gloria (Phil) Brown, Catherine Maxwell, 16 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation 11am and Funeral 12 noon Tuesday June 28, 2016 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE 2500 Cleveland Ave. Interment with Military Honors at Eastlawn Cemetery.

To the Family,
I am Leroy’s classmate. We graduated from Nugent Center in Benoit, Ms 1967. I am lost at words, because I just found out by mentioning I have been trying to get in touch for sometimes, but no answer.
My prayers are with your family. If we had known, some of the classmates would have did something. He was a great guy. We had a loving class, but went so many seperate ways after graduation. God will take care of you!
