Lillian R. Tolliver Scott, 81, passed this life on December 12, 2022 at her residence. Ms. Scott was born on August 1, 1941 to the late Jimmy Tolliver and Roberta Marvinetta Morgan Tolliver James and was raised by the late Thomas E. James. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was always a hard worker finding employment in various factories throughout her adult life. Lillian retired from General Motors with 34 years of service. She was an active member of Maddox Memorial C.O.G.I.C. Lillian loved her friends Ms. Peaches, Mrs. Lavern, Ms. Willette, and Mrs. Connie. Her favorite time of the year was at Christmas. She had a heart of gold and cared for everyone in the family. Lillian also loved shopping and decorating. Lillian is survived by her son Bryant Scott and a daughter Marvinetta Scott both of Mansfield; a sister Karolyn Coffee of Mansfield; a brother Jim Earl Tolliver of Buffalo, New York; a special niece whom she loved so much, Mrs. Rochell Drake of Buffalo, New York; her grandchildren Christian (whom she took in and raised as her own), Demarco, Bryant Jr., Kwame, K’lentay, Kahlil, Key’Erica, and Maurice; great-grandchildren Kordae, Zyear, Gabby, Y’mani, Quinn, and Kaedyn and godson Marcus Hawkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather Thomas E. James; a sister Shirley Andrews, granddaughter, Yoko Scott, great grandson, Truely Harris and a cousin, Merle Stewart. Service will be December 22, 2022 , 10:am visitation and 11: am service at Maddox Memorial COGIC, 1148 Walker Lake Rd. Interment at Mansfield Memorial Park .
