Aunt Lily, I will miss you very much. Your loving kindness was always appreciated. You always believed in and blessed my success in every business venture and career move I would make. My biggest fan of my artwork and I loved your craft work. Wow, how I will miss our long conversation. As I write my eyes just fill with tears because I know I had one of the best aunts God could lend me for a season. I can hear your voice so clearly saying . “Missy hold up I have little something for you.” And it was the little pillow with sequins that changed colors when you brushed over. That no one liked. But you loved it. And when I came in your house and I saw it and said, “Auntie this is sooo cute where did you get it? I love it!” You were so happy I saw the same love in that pillow you did and you got me one. I will cherish our many memories. Love you and missing you.

Your mother was my supervisor at DFAS, she was one of the most kind hearted people to supervise in the building. She never had a harsh word to say about anyone, always soft spoken. I am sure you ill miss her, but always remember she is with you within you. If its noe more than remembering a kind deed or thought or either a smile..She has gone to a better place; no more sickness ,pain ,sadness, medicine to take;always joy.

Condolence from Melissa Stevens on May 6th, 2020 6:49 am

I worked with Ms Lily at DFAS – Columbus. She has a heart of Gold; present tense because “She Still Lives.” May GOD’s Peace and Comfort sustain you because HE is the Comforter and HE will not leave you comfortless. “Jesus says it best, Come all who labor and who are heavy burden, for I will give you rest.”

GOD saw her getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He wrapped His arms around her
And whispered, “Come with Me.”
With tearful eyes you watched her
And saw her pass away;
Although you loved her dearly,
You could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hardworking hands at rest,
GOD broke your heart to prove to you
He only takes the best.
