In Memorial

Loleetha Michelle Towns (Shell) was born in Columbus Ohio to Curtis and Julia Towns on August 19, 1966. She graduated from Northland High School in 1985 and worked at Battelle Memorial Institute as a secretary until she was hired with CCS (Columbus City Schools) in 1992. Loleetha worked for CCS as a secretary until her departure in December 2015. She found love with Mark Dunbar with whom she married on June 28, 1997 and remained together until they parted ways in 2012.

Loleetha was an avid gardener and spent her free time building her garden. She loved animals and always kept an open door for new pets. She was never afraid to speak her mind and her bold and honest personality was admired by many.

She is survived by her parents Curtis and Julia Towns, brother nephew Curtis (Karen) Towns II, sister Yolanda (Tina Hairston) Towns, nephew Curtis Towns III, niece sharice Allen, great niece and nephew Dyani Allen and Marson Smith and her “four legged son” Caesar.

She also leaves to cherish her memory Aunt and Uncle Marie and Harvey Parks, Cousins Marie Forbes and Duane Parks, all the Towns and Watkins cousins and a host of other friends and relatives such as longtime friend Lasalle Jackson, ex-husband Mark Dunbar, adopted children Eric and Erica, and
longtime caregiver Ms. Alice. She has been called home to join grandparents Mary and Russell Towns and great-grandmother Marie
Robinson.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Saturday, December 28, 2019 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
