Lorraine A. Parnell passed away on August 10, 2022, in Columbus, Ohio. She was born to parents, James, and Carrie Lee Parnell on March 13, 1950.
Lorraine grew up in Columbus, Ohio on the eastside and had 3 wonderful children who she loved dearly. She was employed at Columbus State Community College with 20 years of service. She enjoyed cooking, singing and socializing with family and friends.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, James and Carrie Parnell; sisters, Shirley Blassingame and Brenda Pugh; brothers, Darryl, Jimmy Tommy Joe, Gilbert, Billy, Ricky, Michael and Harold Dean Parnell; nieces and nephew Nina, Millhouse, Carla and Lamar Pugh; great grandson, Dekari A. Parnell.
Lorraine leaves to cherish her memory, caregiver and daughter, Tamara Conner (Kelvin) A.K.A. Nurse Ratchet” Melvin (Robin) and Melton (Rosa) Parnell, “two dash and a dot”, sisters, Myrna, Jocelyn Harris, Alfreda Sanders, Patrice Acoff and Kimberly Parnell-Colman Ruff; brothers, Eddie James (Carolyn) Greg, Keith (Valerie), David (Prince Ann), Doug; special grandchildren, The boys in the band, Desjuan, Demarius (Joann) Diavon (Janelle) Delatham (Maika) other grandchildren, Lamonthiona, Melvin Jr. Ruby, Logacci, Tia, Tyrell, Janiya, CeCe, Trey, Jessica, Tootie, Laniya, Vanessa and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation 10:00am and Memorial Service 11:00am Friday, August 19, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
