I’m so sorry for loss of this beautiful soul who had the most infectious smile I’ve ever seen. I was fortunate enough to cross paths with her 7 years ago while she was the optometrist at America’s Best and she has had a profoundly positive impact on my life ever since. Even though we started as co-workers she became a close friend to me and gave me grief because I could never call her Lucy, she was Dr. McCauley to me and deserved the respect to be called that for her hard work and dedication to her education and helping the public eventually we compromised on just McCauley- a true testament to what a humble and wonderful woman she truly was. We spoke almost everyday sharing stories of crazy things that had happened during the work day or how we spent the weekends that we swore went by too fast for our liking. There will never be another woman as great as she was, God molded something so special when he made her. Never one to complain or utter a bad word about another I will always remember her bright smile and zest for life and deep love for her children and family. This world will never be the same without her but I’m so glad to have had the chance to have her impact my life so much, I hope I can live up to being just half the woman she was. RIP McCauley

I was blessed to have met Lucy seven years ago at America Best. We become great friends and stayed in touch after we both left. She was a great mentor and friend. I am going to miss are girls night dinner dates and are wine and pizza nights. I am still in shock that you are going. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. Until we meet again my friend. God definitely gained a beautiful angel. May God be with your children and family during this difficult time. Sending prayers and my condolences for your loss.

I am the school nurse at Keith’s school. He is such a sweet boy, and I have heard what a wonderful lady Lucy was. My clinic doors will always be open to him for rest and for anything he may need while at school. Our entire school community loves and supports Keith III. I am so very sorry for your tremendous loss. Words cannot fully express my sorrow. Sending many thoughts and prayers….

I would like to extend my condolences to the family. May these promises from Jehovah God help them to endure. “Do not be anxious….but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7; Isaiah 25:8 NWT.

Condolence from Kim Dillard on February 25th, 2018 1:25 pm

To the family of Lucille, you have my deepest sympathy in your loss. When someone you love dies, it is like losing a precious jewel. God knows how you feel because he had to endure the pain of His son’s agonizing death. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.” May you rely on God’s promise that Lucille will live again!

Condolence from Kristin Fay on March 1st, 2018 3:06 pm

I didn’t know this beautiful young lady but am sure she was an amazing person. I saw Keith’s picture on the news and instantly remembered him from the 6th grade (crestview middle school) many years ago. He was very troubled then. I instantly wondered how he was able to have the privlige to have a beautiful doctor as a wife and be blessed with children. This is so sad. I am praying for this family.
