Mrs. Lugenia Gwinn Tucker was born August 2nd, 1919 in Chester, S.C. She transitioned on to be with the Lord on October 20th, 2016. She lived a long life of 97 years. Lugenia was the daughter of the late Walter Gwinn and M.E. Giles. At an early age, she confessed her faith in Christ and was baptized at St. Paul Baptist Church in Chester. Upon moving to Columbus Ohio in 1950 Lugenia became a dedicated member of Trinity Baptist Church where she remained a committed servant for 60 years. Lugenia proudly retired from The Ohio State University department of Housekeeping in 1976. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, gardening and spending time with her family. She is proceeding in death by her parents, two husbands Marion Lowry and Aggie Lee Tucker, her four brothers Michael, Ronald, Donald and Lloyd Gwinn. She is survived by loving daughter Yvonne Lowry, devoted granddaughter Charla Lowry, special grandson Thomas Vincent Banks, cousins Vanessa (Tom) Banks, Paula (William) Brockington, Mae Gwinn, Brothers Walter and Edward Gwinn, Special friends Joyce Houston, Faynella Carson, Stepdaughters Hattie Mae Hightower and Francis (Loddie) Pounds, and a host family and friends.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Wednesday October 26, 2016 at Trinity Baptist Church, 461 St. Clair Ave.  Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
