MaeChell LaDee Scott, age 37, of Columbus Ohio. Born August 26, 1983 to Benjamin Scott and Martha Scott.

MaeChell graduated from Fort Hayes High School in 2001 and received an Associates Degree in Accounting while attending Southeast Career Center in high school. MaeChell attended Franklin University, she was a devoted Christian, who was saved at a young age. She was a faithful member at Holy Ghost Revival Center. MaeChell was very intelligent, knowledgeable, an extrovert whom many turned to for sound advice. Whenever someone needed to know something that required assistance, MaeChell was that one. MaeChell wore many hats and stayed involved in a variety of business ventures. Her most recent business established was Mae Knows Money.

MaeChell was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ella Mae Jones; grandfather, John Scott; uncles, Henry Jones, Steven Scott, and Robert Morgan; aunt, Roberta Matthews; brother, Little Ben Scott; and son, Isiah LarMarq Watson.

MaeChell is survived by her grandmother, Willie Mae Scott; father, Benjamin Scott; mother, Martha Scott; three children, Maelleeyiah Scott-Watson, Maeyiah Watson, and Marqsellous Watson; sisters, Nicole Scott and Sherelle Hairston; brothers, Shreod Jones, Shamar Manning, and Shamonty Manning; second mother, Stacy Jones; beloved aunts, Tina Jones, Carolyn Jones, and Constance Steele; Godmother, Benita Jones; Godchildren, Neshawn Tyree and Deron Tyree; nephews, Cameron Ferrell and Christian Manning; nieces, Heavan Hotzclaw, Angel Manning, Serenity Jones, and Seryiah Hairston; and host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Public Viewing 10:00am – 11:00am followed by a Private Visitation 11:00 AM and Private Funeral Service 12:00 PM Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at First Church of Christ, 1911 Oakland Park Ave.

Masks and Social Distancing are required.

Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.

To the Family, I was heartbroken to learn of MaeChell’s passing. My prayers are for you. There is no easy way to deal with the pain but I do know that our Lord will give you the strength each day. My favorite Psalm is 91. I found comfort in that after lil Bryon passed. Love you all Anita Goodwin
