Condolence from Tonya Lee Brown on June 16th, 2020 12:27 pm

Thank-you Mom

Thank-you mom for everything you did for me growing up
For the best school lunches packed with love
For supporting school activities and proudly watching the fun
For the best home cooked dinners that made the family close
For being there for every burn, scratch or cut to always make them better.
For helping us to grow and get over hurt along the way
For offering wise advice and allowing us to learn lessons on our own
For standing up to injustice and teaching us to do the same
For your unconditional love
For your unconditional time
For your unconditional sacrifices
For everything about you that made you the best kind of mother
I thank God he gave you to be my Mother
I await the time I will see you again
Your pain and suffering gone forever
And God in victory, love and power shines over the earth.
My Love is with you forever, Tonya.

Special thanks to my husband Ron for his unrelenting love and support
My daughter Rhonda for her help and loving care for her Grandma,
And to Tiera, Jessica and Ronald Jr. for their kindness, love and support through this difficult time,

How fondly I remember my aunt Margene. You were so very sweet and beautiful.

I remember your smile each time I entered Lazarus from the number two COTA on High Street. You always greeted me with a smile. You were never too busy for conversation. We looked at jewelry together, talked about mom, and Tiger. You smelled of a beautiful fragrance each time I saw you. It was as sweet as you.

I told all of my friends who you were. I was so proud to say, “That’s my aunt at the jewelry counter in Lazarus.” My friends would tell me when they saw you.

Thank you for being so kind, so sweet, so beautiful, and loving.

Rest in paradise!
Love your niece,

Bridgett

Our deepest condolences for the loss of your mother, our beloved Margene. Her sweet and loving personality, inner beauty and nurturing spirit is why we love her so deeply. Our prayer is that you find peace in knowing that she left her math on this world and that she lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. May you find peace through prayer and know that we are praying for you also.

Eyes twinkling and a broad smile
bare feet beneath a white flowing gown,
draped in sparkling jewels,
twirling and dancing,
locking hands with family gone before you,
And until we meet In Heaven’s eternity,
Rest In Peace for have completed your journey.
Carla

Aunt Margene~
Sweet, Kind, & Gentle are words that come to mind when thinking of you. I have such warm childhood memories of you. An aunt that was like a second mother. How I treasured the times you would take me (and my sisters) for evening drives and always loved going to your home. A flashback of seeing you do exercises with a broom brings a gleeful laugh. You were so beautiful and demure working behind the jewelry counter at Lazarus. Whenever shopping there I would always come to see you. You made me feel loved and welcomed.

My mom adored you. You have joined her in Heaven leaving the pain behind knowing only love, joy, and happiness.

David Jr & Tonya I know the sorrow of losing a mother and my heart breaks for you. Love and give each other strength during this difficult time.

My Deepest Condolences,
your cousin,
Hope~

Condolence from David w. Lyons III on June 18th, 2020 9:06 pm

Grandma,

You have been one of my favorite people to talk to over the years. You always, ALWAYS made me laugh every time we talked on the phone, or if I’m staying the night over your house, in which that was every weekend. I recall always going on the freeway with you an seeing cars blowing their horn passing you because of you driving 25 miles on the highway. We laughed, an laughed until I was in tears. I thank God for your love that you always shown me. I think I was your favorite grandchild even though all of your grandchildren was your favorite, simply because you spoiled me like crazy all the time. I also remember coming to your house with TT, Jessica, & Baebae, an you took us for a walk around the apartment so we can get some air. Behold you slipped a $20 bill in my hand an told me to put it in my pocket. No! Lil DJ kept taking it out his pocket to look at it, and boom. I lost it! You never got upset, never yelled at me but you continued to teach me the importance of “giving.” You always gave me something, or took me everywhere an I’m very grateful for that. I will ALWAYS have you in my heart. You make sure to look over us while you’re in Heaven. Until we meet again, I love you!

Your grandson,
DJ
