Marjorie Marie Anderson was born February 24, 1941 in Ashville, North Carolina to the late James Alexander and Louise Tucker. She was escorted into heaven by the angels on December 10, 2020.
Marjorie attended Columbus Public Schools and was a graduate of East High School. Marjorie was a faithful member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Usher Board. She was also a member of Sigma Iota and the Fire Warden for her unit at Corbon Commons.
Marjorie held various roles during her years of employment at: D.S.C.C., Ohio Bell, Westinghouse, City of Columbus, My Brothers Keep and Mt. Hermon Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Camille P. Cecil.
Marjorie loved to bowl, travel and spend time with her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory, daughters, Nikita Anderson, Pastor Melanie (Pastor Keith) Bradley, and Leticia (Sebastian) Jenkins; son, Michael (Candice) Anderson; grandchildren, David Williams, Nicholas Williams, Joshua Williams, Kayla (Chad) Norris, Mondale Bradley, Jack Cecil, Breionna Cecil, Robert Matlock, Sherman Glover, Da’Miere Glover, MyKhaela Anderson, Jazzmine Mabra-Davis; 16 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Visitation 11:00 AM and Private Family Funeral Service 12:00 PM Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Mt. Hermon, 2283 Sunbury Road. Mask and Social Distancing are required. Interment at Glen Rest. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

    Last time I saw Marie was my visit to Columbus in 2013 and she was all smiles. It was so good to see her along with everyone else at Viola’s house. Took me back to my childhood at my great grandmothers house (Aunt Edith) to many.
