Martha E. Bell-Hergins, age 50. Sunrise August 12, 1966 and Sunset July 8, 2017.
Worked in Food Service Production for Columbus City Schools. A life long member of Love Zion Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by aunt, Flora Anthony, Mildred Carter; uncle, James “Jimmie” Jackson; mother-in-law, Beatrice Hergins.
Left to cherish her memory her husband, Alan Hergins; parents, Clarence and Dorothy Bell; daughters, Ericka Buford, Elysa Bell; brothers, Robert Bell, Richard Bell; sister, Mary McGhee; grandsons, Kristopher Buford, Davon Burgess II and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service 12Noon Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Love Zion Baptist Church, 1459 Madison Avenue.

Shocked into disbelief to learn that my Martha has joined all of the other angels in heaven. Martha’s family are in my thoughts, heart and prayers
The South High School Alumni Association and its Board of Directors want to express our sympathy and send condolences at the death of your loved one. Our entire South High School family is diminished by her passing.
To the Bell Family,
I cannot begin to completely express to you my sympathy at the passing of Martha. The Bell Family will always hold a special place in my heart and memories. Please know that I will be praying for you not only during this time but in the difficult days ahead. The word of God declares, earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Let our ever present heavenly Father be the source of your comfort and peace.
To the family of Martha, you have my deepest sympathy in your loss. When someone you love dies, it is like losing an irreplaceable, rare-precious jewel. God knows how you feel because he had to endure the pain of His son’s agonizing death. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.” May you find comfort in God’s promise that Martha will live again! – John 5:28
