Marvin H Cox Sr, age 71, Sunrise May 15, 1945 and Sunset July 25,2016. Marvin was graduate of Licking Heights High School before moving to graduate from Bowling Green University on an achieved scholarship for football. As a soldier in the Vietnam War and a member of Southfield Baptist Church, he was not only a man of service, but also a man of God. He also served in the Union Steward and was an active member of Trojan Motorcycle Club.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents Hoyt and Eleanor Cox, brother Larry Norvette, granddaughter; Daivena Clay and grandson Matthew Cox. Left to cherish his memory, are all of his children Donna R. Raymond and Kelly L. Cox, Mark A. Small and wife Ruth Small, Marvin H.Cox Jr., Marcus A. Cox and wife Amanda Cox, brothers Charles, Cecil and James Norvette,20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends,
Very sorry to read of the passing of your dear loved one Marvin. Life is such a precious gift and yet so short-lived for the time we exist.
We are comforted by the hope of the resurrection. God holds out this wonderful hope for all those in the grave. At John 11:25 Jesus said ” IAM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE. HE THAT EXERCISES FAITH IN ME, EVEN THOUGH HE DIES, WILL COME TO LIFE.”
What a blessed reason to hope in God!
