Marvin H. Brooks was born July 31st 1945 in Detroit Michigan to the late Howard H. Brooks and Margaret Williams.

Marvin attended Glenville High School in Cleveland Ohio, and then went on to serve in the Army in 1962. While returning to Cleveland, Ohio he worked as a certified chef for the Forum Cafeteria. He then entered the Dret School of Technology where he received his certification in Advance Maintenance Technician in 1988.

He enjoyed music and repairing electronics.

Early Thursday morning November 12, 2009 Marvin closed his eyes in a never ending sleep and this memory will remain with the family.

Marvin leaves to cherish his memory: one sister: Brenda Drake (Karl) daughter: Aleatheia Mason (John) two grandchildren: Terrence and Tanisha and three nephews.

Marvin will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him; he will be missed and fondly remembered by those who had the privilege of loving him.

I remember when Marvin was in the Army in Germany and he used to send me watches and jewelry from over seas and It made me feel so special, and so proud that I had a big brother in the Army. He was a kind and thoughful brother, I miss him dearly.
