Mary Jo Hagwood was a born June 12th, 1932 to Manuel and Lugenia Dunham in Lipwar, WV. She worked many years at OSU where she retired.
Mary Jo’s hobbies included crocheting and spending time with her family. Whenever someone needed an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, or someone to be there she was there. She was a big person with a big heart. She joined Tabernacle Baptist Church in 1997, where she was a member of their Kitchen committee until her health failed.
Mary Jo is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Lugenia Dunham; husband, James Hagwood; son, Kelvin D. Hagwood; and siblings, Emmanuel, Samuel, and James Dunham, and Viola Mosby.
Mary Jo leaves to cherish her precious memory, children, Cathy Dunham, Lynetta Hagwood, James Jr., and Clarence Hagwood; grandchildren, Kwanda and Shaphon Brown, Charlita (Daniel) Perez, and John Dunham; sister, Lucille Calloway; great grandchildren, Kamara and Demetrius Chavis, Damiyah Brown, Isabella and Isaiah Perez, and Johndrelaye Dunham; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Friday, February 28, 2020 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2188 Woodward Ave.
Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
