Mayfield Evans, III was born on April 4, 1989 to Gloria Copeland and Mayfield Evans, II in Columbus, Ohio. Mayfield unexpectedly departed this life on September 22, 2022.

Mayfield was a heart of gold and a big teddy bear. His smile would light up any room. He lived a free spirit life and didn’t come across any strangers. He was employed at Waffle House of Columbus, Ohio. Mayfield had 3 godchildren, Kayona Taylor, Rayona Collins, and Josh Collins.

Mayfield is preceded in death by his father, Mayfield Evans, II; grandparents, Lawrence Harden, Jr., Mary E. Harden, and Creacy Wedling; and aunts, Christina Harden and Marcialene Harden.

Mayfield leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Gloria A. Copeland; siblings, Latoya S. Warren, Jamika (Emmanuel) Ogunbiyi, Charles Jones IV, Veltonfoncil (Kamara) Copeland, Damario Bradley, Dekonte Barclay, and Samantha Collins; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Thursday, October 13, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
