McHenry Holmes Jr., age 85 passed away February 11, 2022. He was born in Bluefield West Virginia to McHenry Holmes and Agnes Woody.
McHenry attended school in Charleston West Virginia and graduated in 1954. After graduation he moved to Columbus, Ohio. He worked different jobs and attended Franklin University for Business.
McHenry was a member for over 60 years at Refuge Baptist Church where he became a Deacon and the president of the Male Chorus.
McHenry was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 25 years, Lake Holmes; son, Wayne Holmes; daughter, Michelle Holmes; three stepchildren, Cherokee Alexander, Brian Alexander, and Kym Minter all of Columbus, Ohio as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren; brothers, sisters, and best friend Clarence Roquemore.
McHenry has touched many lives and left memories to cherish.
Visitation 9:00 AM and Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Refuge Baptist Church, 400 N. 20th Street.
Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
