The Entry:

Brother McKinley Ethan was born April 7, 1928 in Hollyville South Carolina to Lorena Bryant – Simmons and Ernest Simmons.

Departure:

Wednesday July 20, 2016 at the age of 88 in Columbus, Ohio at Altercare of Canal Winchester where he entered into a peaceful rest and answered the summons and kept his appointment with the lord and savior.

Preparation:

He accepted Christ at an early age and united the St. Paul AME Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Grant and he served on the usher board and served on the Jr. Choir. He attended school Jenkin Hill School system in South Carolina. He entered into the military and served in the army and was in the Korean War. After getting his honorable discharge he relocated to Columbus, Oh and joined the MT. Vernon AME served as a faithful member. Her served and worked on the usher board, male choir. He retired from the city of Columbus. He was a member of the masons Oliver lodge no #9.

Predeceased:

Father Ernest Simmons, Mother Lorena Bryant Simmons, siblings Will David Simmons, Harold Simmons, Mable Simmons, Joyce Felder Simmons

Leaves to Cherish His Memory:

His loving son William McKinley (Jequeta) Simmons, His step grandsons Cordell Hardgrove, Fredrick Hardgrove, his special favorite niece Ethel Mae Gelzer, a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00pm Monday July 25, 2016 at Mt.Vernon AMEĀ 1127 Mt Vernon Ave, Columbus, OH 43203
