I will always remember Melanie’s sweet smile at work everyday. And the many great conversations her and I had. I did not have the chance to work with her for long, but the time that she was at NCH, she touched everyone in one way or another. Her kind soul will always be remembered. Prayers go out to your families, with much love.

Condolence from Brian Travis on February 8th, 2021 5:44 am

To my Aunt Mel,

I cant begin to find the words to say. Even though you were my Aunt, we grew up together. Man you don’t know how much I loved having a Aunt that was only a year older than me. I thought that was the best thing in the world. I’m gonna miss you so much. I know its selfish of me to want to keep you here knowing your struggles but I can’t help it. There are so many memories we shared. So many things I wish we could talk about. So many things I wish I had said the last time we spoke. Now I will just cherish the memories and remember your smile. I will always remember what you would say every time we spoke. “ Hey Big Head”……

Your up there with my daddy. Tell him I miss him. One day we will all be together again.

I told Jamelle to call me if he ever needed anything and I will be there for him and his brother and sister. That’s a promise. I love you always. Fly Aunt Mel
