Melody L. Scott, age 63, born to the late Norma Jean and Bland Tinsley. Sunrise July 17, 1953; Sunset November 8, 2016.  Melody was a cheerleader, cheerleading coach and graduate of Linden McKinley H.S., a member of Bethany Baptist Church and formerly employed at Discover Card Services, Ohio Bell and Time Warner Communication.  She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Martha Franklin; Parents, husband, Jeffrey Scott; brother, Kevin Tinsley; aunt, Audrey Ernestine Mitchell and uncle, Thomas Davenport; nephew, Larry Hyde Jr.  Left to cherish her memory, brother Kenneth E. Tinsley; son, David K. Dorsey Sr.; only granddaughter, Melody Lane Dorsey (Blake); grandsons, David K. Dorsey Jr. and Xavion De’Keith Dorsey; great grandchildren, Lyric De’Laine, Londyn De’Maria and Lorryn De’Kota Crook; Beverly Franklin Smith (Lamar) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation 10:00AM and Funeral 11:00AM, Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Bethany Baptist Church 959 Bulen Ave. Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.  Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J.   2. I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Melody at Discover Card. She was always so full of life. She always had a smile on her face. I loved working with her. I’m sure she will be sorely missed.

  3. THIS IS STILL SO HARD TO BELIEVE. MS MEL WAS THE SWEETEST WOMAN I HAVE EVER MET. SHE WILL TRULY BE MISSED. DAVID DORSEY AND MELODY CROOK, I LOVE YOU BOTH AND YOUR FAMILY IS IN MY PRAYERS.
